Service technicians experienced with changing glass in commercial and residential applications.

We are looking for experienced glaziers to assist in our contracts division. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the glass industry, take pride in the work they do, and have a positive attitude.

Job Details: Lift and install glass and mirror products. Use lifts and other equipment to elevate glass products. Install custom glass railing systems and accessories. Install custom mirrors, and mirror walls. Commercial glass / glazing work (outdoor work). Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 2-5 years glazing experience. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Reliable form of transportation – we are not bus accessible. Working at Heights certificate preferred but not required (Training provided). Valid lift tickets considered an asset.

Working Conditions: Working outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures. Requires travel to and from job sites in company vehicle. Working at heights regularly.


AutoCAD Draftsperson / Project Coordinator

The ideal candidate will be an independent entrepreneurial thinker who is not afraid to ask questions. They will have a positive outlook on their work and in stressful situations, and take pride in what we do here at Glass Canada.

Job Details: Prepare shop drawings and associated product information for project submittals.Complete projects within established timelines and budgets. Assist Senior Project Managers with project coordination. Read and understand architectural and structural drawings. Use Microsoft Word and Excel software. Understand the components and labour and how they relate to the construction industry. Work in a fast-paced environment, balancing several projects, under tight deadlines. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience in technical drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must. Valid driver’s licence required. General understanding of the tender process. Ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure. Previous experience in the construction industry. Capable of working with others in a team environment when necessary. Working at Heights considered an asset.
