Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative

We are currently looking for a Customer Service Consultant to add to our showroom team. We are a London based company with an excellent reputation as a glazing sub-contractor and an industry leader in entrances, framing systems, windows and curtain wall systems. We recognize that our continued success depends on the relationships we have established with our clients and the high quality goods and services we provide.

We are looking for an individual who exhibits attention to detail in their work and who demonstrates excellent customer service skills. The Customer Service Consultant will be responsible for representing Glass Canada to our clients using their knowledge and skills to provide them with the product or service they need.

Job Details: Provide pricing to customers and assist in the selection of product to design needs. Analyze construction drawings and other documents to prepare estimates. Interact with customers in the showroom. Answer incoming calls regarding sales, client concerns, and general inquiries. Work with other departments as required and ensure product conformance. Consult and work in partnership with engineers on components and design characteristics. Review and gain knowledge of project scope and specifications. Establish material take off on scope of work. Prepare quotations based on client drawings. Build and maintain client relationships to enhance competitiveness in the industry and promote effective customer relationships. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: 2-5 years customer service experience. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software, especially excel. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous estimation experience preferred but not required. Industry related knowledge considered an asset (windows, doors, glass, etc)

Please note – this position has regular working business hours of Monday – Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts from 9am-1pm.
Rate of pay will depend on experience and qualifications.


Service Technician

We are looking for individuals who have previous experience in the glass and glazing industry and who can follow detailed instructions. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of construction principles, have a positive attitude, and be safety conscious.

Job Details: Install showers, railings, thermal units, and glass materials with extreme care and precision. Repair doors, showers, railings, and other glass products daily. Review and complete service work orders. Load glass products and parts safely onto service vehicle. Lift glass and mirror products. Travel to multiple job sites daily using company vehicle provided. Install custom glass products of different brands and its components. Use hand tools to perform various duties. Install custom mirrors, and mirror walls. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle and report any defects to the operator. Remain in contact with the Office Manager daily. Rotate the afterhours emergency line between other service members. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years glass/glazing or equivalent experience. Experience with hand held tools is a must. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Comfortable driving a Transit 250 (G license required). Customer service oriented and comfortable greeting and speaking with customers. Reliable form of transportation – we are not bus accessible. Working at Heights certificate an asset.

Working Conditions: Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures. Requires travel to and from job sites in company vehicle. Working at heights occasionally. Heavy lifting involved.


Service Technician Helper

We are looking for individuals who are eager to work and learn new skills, and who can follow detailed instructions. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of construction principles, have experience with hand tools, and be safety conscious.

Job Details: Follow directions from the Service Technician. Install showers, railings, thermal units, and glass materials with extreme care and precision. Assist with repairing doors, showers, railings, and other glass products. Complete service work orders. Help with loading glass products and parts safely onto service vehicle. Lift glass and mirror products. Travel to multiple job sites daily in company vehicle. Install custom glass products of different brands and its components. Use hand tools to perform various duties. Report any vehicle defects to the operator and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Follow directions given by the Office Manager. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years hand tools experience is a must. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Customer service oriented and comfortable speaking with customers. Reliable form of transportation – we are not bus accessible. Working at Heights certificate an asset but not required.

Overhead Door Technician

London Automatic Door, an affiliated company of Glass Canada, is currently seeking an Overhead Door Technician experienced in both residential and commercial overhead doors to add to our team of professionals.

Job Details: Repair automatic and manual doors at customer’s facility or home. Install and service commercial and residential garage doors. Create and maintain relationships with customers. Read manuals and use resources to correctly perform repairs for different brands of doors serviced. Use welding techniques to assist with operations and repairs. Maintain inventory on company service vehicle in order to effectively perform service calls. Monitor vehicle for potential service issues and report them to management. Rotate the after hours phone between other employees and respond to emergency calls. Work efficiently in small teams to complete daily tasks and assignments. Remain in contact with the Service Administrator daily. Assist Project Manager with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience installing and repairing overhead doors. Must have a valid G class driver’s license. Excellent electromechanical repair skills. Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willing and able to work on a rotating on-call schedule when required. Valid fall arrest and lift tickets considered an asset.

Working Conditions: Travel on a daily basis using the company service vehicle. Ability to work overtime and be on call as needed. Working at heights.
